Education in central European countries

Hello Students.

I have always heard good about the teaching-learning methods in developed countries. They expect the students to think and find solutions rather than mug up and write a memory test. Project-based learning is at the core, that I knew. In a way, it is good that I never expected too many things.

My practical experience is very much mixed.  Where to start with? I think let's start from the beginning. When the student after completing his graduation enters the University, a one-week orientation program is arranged for the new entrants. In this program conducted by senior students, the new entrants are taken around the complete campus. They are engaged in various group activities, competitions, cultural activities so that they get acquainted with each other and also with the campus environment. The program includes guidance to various types of paper works, Visits to different labs and classrooms, auditoriums, gymnasiums, and also the canteens.

Thereafter their formal education begins. Let's say about it in the next blog.

Happy Blogging

Hello Dear Students!

This is a new way of connecting with you. We often discuss across the table or in the classroom, yet sometimes you shy away from asking a question or posing a difficult condition. Sometimes questions arise in your mind when you are not in the department, sometimes while discussing with friends...and you can't approach me immediately. I may be out of town for some conference or you may be attending some seminar and workshop where we wish to share the knowledge, new idea, or experience but we are very much apart.  Many times it also happens that you wish to share your experience with general life other than our subject but the circumstances don't permit.
At this point, the platform for blogging has come to help us to solve this particular issue of non-availability at that particular time point.

With smartphones at hand and connectivity at its prime, you can share anything and everything -professional and personal with me. I assure you to respond to you regularly and maintain confidentiality if you share something personal.

So..happy blogging!!
